When you want to buy a hedge trimmer you have some important decisions to make before you can actually get one and start using it. For example you have to think about how much money you want to spend on one. You also have to consider whether you want to get a cordless hedge trimmer or one that does have a cord attached.
Many people are attracted to the idea of a cordless trimmer. The reasons for this are obvious. If you have a long garden you either have to struggle with an extension cord or you can go out and trim whatever you need to trim without wondering whether you can reach it or not.
Of course this does mean you have to ensure your cordless hedge trimmer is fully charged and ready to use just when you want to use it. But providing you get used to this and you remember to have it charged and ready all the time, you shouldn’t have a problem. It is certainly easier to move around with a cordless trimmer than it is to use a corded version, simply because it is better to manage and you don’t have the worry of constantly tripping over a cord. There is also the obvious danger of potentially cutting through the cord if you’re not careful, although you can prevent that by using a cut out switch.
If you have ever used an extension cord you will know that having it trailing through the house and out the window nearest to the garden isn’t ideal either. It is possible to do it, but just imagine how much easier it is with a cordless trimmer. You’ll even be more pro-active in keeping those hedges regularly trimmed because it is so much easier to do it.
So you can see that you may well manage more easily with the cordless version than the corded one. You won’t know until you try it, but the odds are definitely better when it comes to the ease of using a cordless version.
